Matt has worked for some of the UK's foremost theatres and companies, including the RSC; Chichester Festival Theatre; Hampstead; Paines Plough; Lyric Hammersmith; Northern Broadsides; Hull Truck; Leeds Playhouse and the Orange Tree. He has twice performed Off-Broadway and has appeared on television and radio for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

He also performs as a stand-up, sketch and character comedian and produces culture podcast The Bodcast.

In 2019 he took the Middle Child Theatre Playwrights' Course led by Tom Wells, and during the following year had his work produced by Hull Truck, Middle Child on BBC radio, and at NYMR's War Weekend in North Yorkshire.

Matt is from Hull and never shuts up about it.
